What is Webfork?

Webfork is a mobile app that scans food and gives you recipes from the type of food you scanned. Using barcodes and proprietary artificial intelligence, we create a virtual pantry with everything from automated meal plans and AI-generated recipes based on the foods you have, to a shopping list based on your eating habits, goals, and budget.

Recipes and Meal Plans – Our artificial intelligence will automatically create a 7-day meal plan each week based on the items in your pantry, your likes and dislikes, and dietary restrictions. Additionally, you can prompt the AI manually in case you need a food substitution or another recipe.

Smart Shopping Lists – Using your meal plan, our app will compose a shopping list based on your budget and nearby stores. Additionally, it will create a door-dash order so that you don't even need to go shopping!

Cooking Lessons – Having a recipe is all well and good, but we like to follow the age-old motto: "Give a man a recipe and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to cook and he'll eat for a lifetime." That's why we're working with international culinary champion David Chen to put together a series of cooking tutorials going from beginner to expert. These will be offered on-demand for the low price of $3.49/month!

Food Expiration Alerts – In addition to all of this, we aim to help solve a bigger problem, food waste. Every year over 126 billion pounds of food is wasted in the US, with the majority coming from households. By giving reminders to use food nearing expiry, and incorporating them into the meal plans, we aim to eliminate this problem.
